If you live in a public power community, this means you own your electric utility and can participate in running it. It means you benefit from affordable energy, better service, and a utility that cares about the overall wellbeing and growth of your community. We want to provide you with reliable electric service at a reasonable price while protecting the environment. Our priority is not shareholder value. Our priority is community value. We live here. We work here. We volunteer here. We enjoy our role in ensuring the success of our communities.
Perennial employees and board members are your neighbors, they care about serving their communities. Many of them serve the community outside of office hours. For instance, several of our Perennial employees and board members participate in the Red Cross Blood Drives.
In conclusion, living in a public power community means more than just access to reliable and affordable electricity; it fosters a strong sense of belonging and collective responsibility. The commitment of your neighbors—employees and board members—reflects a deep-rooted dedication to serving the community both within and outside of their professional roles. Their involvement in local organizations and volunteer efforts underscores the importance of community value over profit. Together, we are not just powering homes but also nurturing a vibrant community where everyone’s well-being and growth are prioritized.
